BACKGROUND
This item is a regularly occurring agenda item to discuss Workgroup Reports.
DISCUSSION
Currently, SSHRB has three workgroups:
1. Outreach and Community Engagement (Means/Green)
• Recap recent presentations of CNA to various City boards and commissions
• Continue to analyze “The Road Home,”strategize ways to make improvements, and enhance reporting
• Dignity Village Resident Advisory Group update
• Community Needs Assessment Infographic
2. Human Relations/Alamedans Together Against Hate (Yamashiro-Omi/Bryant)
• Plan for Season for Nonviolence and support AUSD initiatives
• Plan for the April Support & Support event at the Alameda Main Library (presentation from Dr. Cindy Acker)
3. Domestic Violence Task Force (Buchholz/Wolf/Pile)
• Semi-annual Task Force meeting scheduled on April 29th
• Recognize Domestic Violence Month
• Collectively agree on focus areas for Work Plan
• Addressing mental health and community connectedness meetings with Be Well Alameda
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Board discuss and review SSHRB Workgroup Reports.
