If applicable, briefly describe which Council priority the subject falls under and how it relates:
Businesses immediately near or in close proximity of the north side of Central Avenue, where Central Avenue and Webster Street intersect, have been affected by the loss of parking over the course of many months due to construction of the Central Avenue Safety Project.
As a sign of appreciation of what these businesses have weathered, I ask City Council to have staff (a) immediately approach the owner of, or the owner’s representative of, the property on which the US Bank private parking lot is located, to negotiate terms and conditions (including rental amount) so as to allow the public to use the parking area as free parking public during the month of December, 2025, or some portion thereof; and, (b) report back to Council for the first Regular meeting of December 2025, with results of the negotiations, including its recommendation, including final drafts of all documents needed to execute any agreement, for Council decision by or on the first regular meeting of December 2025.
