BACKGROUND

Little Opera House, Inc. (LOH), currently holds a license for a temporary outdoor performance and exhibition space known as Radium Runway on approximately 2.13 acres at Alameda Point. Pursuant to City Council’s December 20, 2023 Resolution (Resolution 16127), the City and LOH entered into an Exclusive Negotiating Agreement (ENA), which establishes a 12-month period during which time the City and LOH will make a good faith effort to prepare a mutually acceptable long-term Ground Lease with Purchase Option for the Development of a performing arts center at the site.

DISCUSSION

Under Government Code Section 54956.8, Title 5, Division 2, Part 1, Chapter 9, City Council must identify, in an open and public session, the real property negotiators for negotiation of the price and terms concerning real property, such as the Premises. ALTERNATIVES

Approve Jennifer Ott, City Manager, Abigail Thorne-Lyman, Base Reuse and Economic Development Director, Nicole Franklin, Base Reuse Manger, Walker Toma, Community Development Manager, and Len Aslanian, Assistant City Attorney as real property negotiators for the Premises.

                     Identify other staff as negotiators.

Choose not to negotiate terms related to leasing or sale of the premises, and thus do not identify negotiators.
