Public Comment for 6-A
Maria Piper (*37:48) discussed her concerns about the goals and how the ride quality was considered more important than safety. She gave ideas and suggestions about what issues should be considered and pointed out other parts of the plan that needed more thought.
Christy Cannon (*41:18) discussed what changes she was happy to see however she did feel that overall Caltrans does not compromise or care about Alameda. She wanted City Staff to continue to stay on top of Caltrans with the city’s concerns.
Cyndy Johnson, via Zoom (*43:12) spoke on behalf of Bike Walk Alameda. She discussed what elements they were pleased to see implemented and then discussed what was still missing. She gave suggestions about what ideas they would liked to see explored.
Jim Strehlow, via Zoom (*44:26) wanted to make sure the correct presentation was posted. He was pleased to see some changes but still had concerns that this was still not fully understood how to use the pedestrian bridge on the other side of Doolittle. He wanted to know whose responsibility that was.
Alice Sunshine, via Zoom (*46:24) President of the Ravens Cove HOA. She thanked City Staff for the inclusion of the bulb outs in this project. She discussed concerns that the neighborhood had, crowding was a main concern.
