EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Road Home committee will bring forward the finalists for the Volunteer of the Year award for discussion and a vote with all board members.
BACKGROUND
SSHRB is divided into three subcommittees, including The Road Home committee. This committee is comprised of President Scott Means, Vice President Samantha Green, and Board Member Michelle Buccholz. The Road Home committee will be awarding the Volunteer of the Year honor to six (6) Alameda residents that have served and uplifted their community through extensive and meaningful volunteer work. The committee will award within two categories: adult and youth. The committee created and disseminated a survey throughout the community to accept nominations for this award, which closed on October 10, 2025. The committee has selected potential finalists for the award, which will be brought before the SSHRB for a vote. These individuals will be honored and recognized by the SSHRB at the December 1, 2025, SSHRB meeting after approval of the nominations.
