A. TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION UPDATES

 

2023 Major City Council actions on items reviewed by the Transportation Commission:

                     July 18 Approved the new concept and $2 million in additional General Fund funding for the Grand Street Safety Improvement project

                     July 5 Directed staff to move forward with the updated striping on Park St and Webster St, and to return to City Council with updates to the parklet program

                     June 20 Adopted budget for fiscal years 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, including Capital Improvement Program

                     April 18 Endorsed the Lincoln/Marshall/Pacific concept

                     April 4 Accepted the Transportation 2022 Annual Report & 2023 Work Plan

                     March 21 Approved the Clement Avenue/Tilden Way concept

                     January 17 Adopted the Street Classification Appendix of the General Plan Mobility Element

EBMUD construction: EMBUD has nearly completed installation of new water pipelines on Sherman Street, Atlantic Ave, Challenger Drive, and Marina Village Parkway. Pavement restoration is scheduled to begin in the October/November timeframe.
