4. Announcements / Public Comments
Denyse Trepanier, via Zoom, spoke on behalf of Bike Walk Alameda and discussed (*5:08) the dangerous situation that was created when the Shoreline trail at Bay Farm was closed by the City for maintenance. It was closed on the first day of school without warning, and many families relied on that path to get kids to school. She was happy the City got alternative routes together quickly but felt this was part of a bigger issue. She gave suggestions on ways to improve future issues and asked that the City prioritize different forms of transportation.
Cyndy Johnson, via Zoom, Bike Walk Alameda, called (*8:00) to bring attention to Cycle September and invited everyone to join. She hoped for the month of September families would use their bikes instead of driving.
