Lisa Foster, Transportation Planning Manager, provided several updates (*13:27).

4. Non-Agenda Public Comment
William Morrison (*20:29) reminded the Transportation Board that they were meant to focus on all forms of transportation. He also discussed how the city used to have railroad service.
Jim Strehlow (*23:33) discussed his ongoing concerns for the intersections at Lincoln and Walnut. He felt that the city was affecting everyone for the mistakes of the few. He also discussed how long a project can take; he felt that the traffic circles took to long to install.
Christy Cannon (*26:43) wanted to discuss how much traffic was getting into the bike lanes, from delivery trucks to personal cars parked in bike lanes.

Chair Weitze made a motion (*30:03) to approve the Consent Calendar with revisions to the minutes. A voice vote was taken, and the motion passed 5-0, with Vice Chair Suthanthira and Commissioner Johnson absent.

6-A 2026-5789- Endorse the Transportation 2025 Annual Report and 2026 Work Plan (action)

Public Comment for 6-A
William Morrison (*1:03:48) discussed the railway bridge removal and cautioned against removing the rails. If someone wanted to develop rail, that bridge would be very expensive to replace. He then cautioned against construction on Fernside, the painting would be fine.
Jim Strehlow (*1:06:40) wanted to know why safety was an issue when the injury numbers were so low. He also didn’t understand how Vision Zero could affect DUIs or heart attacks. He also felt that the public was not being properly educated when it came to safety. He discussed other issues that needed to be clarified.

Chair Weitze made a motion (*1:58:13) to endorse the Transportation 2025 Annual Report and 2026 Work Plan. Commissioner Dara-Abrams seconded the motion, and the motion passed 5-0, with Vice Chair Suthanthira and Commissioner Johnson absent.
