EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On February 26, 2026, Housing and Human Services Engagement Specialist Supervisor, Raul Cedeno III, will be presenting on the intersection and importance of mental health and street outreach. He will discuss the importance of this topic for both clients and outreach workers.
BACKGROUND
Raul Cedeno III oversees the Engagement Specialist team for the Housing and Human Services division. The Engagement Specialist team, also commonly referred to as the outreach team, provide engagement services across the island supporting residents who are homeless and at risk of becoming homeless. Mental health support is a common need among the population served by the engagement team. Raul will present on how the team supports this need and how the team itself practices self-care and wellness in a rewarding but challenging field.
DISCUSSION
Raul Cedeno III, HHS Engagement Specialist Supervisor will attend the February 26, 2026, SSHRB meeting to provide a presentation on the importance of mental health in the street outreach field.
