* Construction (Caltrans): To enhance pedestrian safety, Caltrans is adding flashing beacons and crosswalk improvements at six intersections along CA Hwy 61 with completion expected in summer 2022. Starting this summer, Caltrans will begin construction on pavement resurfacing and street safety improvements on Encinal Avenue between Broadway and Sherman Street.
* Construction (City): To improve intersection safety, the City will begin Phase 3 of the High-injury Corridor Daylighting in the summer.
* Parking: The new Alameda Parking Enforcement Service, provided by the Public Works Department, will launch in late May or June, which will include improved enforcement of meters and time limits in the Park and Webster Street areas.
