EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Social Service Human Relations Board (SSHRB) will break up into their Workgroups to discuss each group’s individual Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound (SMART) goals to work towards the main goal defined in the purpose of SSHRB discussion.
BACKGROUND
SSHRB regularly discusses the work of each of the workgroups at each meeting. Each workgroup meets once a month
DISCUSSION
SSHRB’s three workgroups are:
• The Road Home/People Experiencing Homelessness (Means, Green, Buchholz)
• Alamedans Together Against Hate (Yamashiro-Omi, Bryant)
• Domestic Violence (Pile, Wolf)
Each group will be responsible for building out the following:
• Identify 1 - 3 SMART goals for their group to work towards this year
• Creating a plan for achieving those goals including dates and events for the year
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the Board discusses the plan for each of the workgroups, develop a calendar of events and deadlines for SSHRB encompassing the work of all the workgroups, and devise a plan for how to promote SSHRB and its work.
