EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On May 16, 2023 City Council approved the recording of Tract Map 8561 for Phase 1 of an anticipated three phase development of the North Housing Site at 501 Mosely Avenue.
Tract Map 8561, North Housing - Phase 1, created two parcels for the development of permanent supportive housing and affordable senior housing with associated parking and infrastructure and one parcel for a private roadway (Lakehurst Circle) by Alameda Housing Authority and the dedication of public rights of way for Mabuhay Street and Singleton Avenue along with public access and utility easements.
The Housing Authority has completed the public improvements, and staff is recommending that the City Council accept the improvements as complete.
BACKGROUND
On August 17, 2020, the Planning Board conducted a public hearing and adopted Resolution No. PB-20-16 approving the Development Plan and Density Bonus application for the project and Resolution No. PB-20-17 recommending that the City Council approve the Tentative Map Tract No. 8561 to allow the subdivision of 11 lots on approximately 12.19 acres.
On September 15, 2020, City Council adopted Resolution No. 15689 approving the Tentative Map Tract No. 8561 for the North Housing Project subdivision, upon which the Phase 1 Final Map is based.
