EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Professional photography and videography are essential for the City of Alameda's (City) external strategic communications. These services are vital for maintaining the City's website, social media, official reports, mailings, and email newsletters. They are key visual tools to share crucial updates, provide information about City projects, and promote Alameda businesses and events. Since 2017, Maurice Ramirez provided valuable photography services to multiple City departments. This proposed agreement consolidates these services under a single, comprehensive agreement.

BACKGROUND

The City's Strategic Communications Plan identifies four key platforms for engaging residents:

* Email/Text: Department e-blasts, newsletters, and alert messages
* Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor posts and announcements
* Website: Content for the City's official website
* Mail: Targeted mailers sent to residents and businesses

High-quality, engaging visual content is critical for effectively reaching a broad audience across these platforms. Maurice Ramirez has been a trusted and reliable City provider of professional photography services since 2017. His notable work includes contributions to an SF Chronicle business supplement, the annual 4th of July Parade, the Economic Development Strategic Plan, Walk and Roll to School events, and the February 2020 Grand Opening of the Cross Alameda Trail.
