EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Staff recommends approval of an agreement with A&B Mechanical, Inc. (A&B) to provide on-call mechanical maintenance services for a not to exceed amount of $75,000 per year, for a total amount not to exceed $375,000 over a five-year term. All work under this agreement will be limited to funds appropriated by City Council and available for the specific project or task assigned. Because this is an on-call agreement, actual expenditures will depend on the level of need; if services are not required, no work will be requested.

Typical work includes the full range of mechanical maintenance services including emergency and non-emergency troubleshooting, diagnosing, maintenance and repairs for mechanical systems, mechanical distribution systems, support for safe-off and safe-on systems for retrofits and capital projects, and periodic inspection services for City infrastructure projects, buildings, facilities and programs.
DISCUSSION
On September 26, 2025, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for on-call Mechanical Maintenance Services.
