EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Social Service Human Relations Board (SSHRB) President Scott Means and Board Member Michelle Buchholz will provide a presentation on the progress made to date on The Road Home: A 5 Year Plan to Prevent and Respond to Homelessness in Alameda. The presentation will provide an overview of the scale of homelessness in Alameda County and the City of Alameda, the various systems and programs in place to prevent and address homelessness. The presentation will share how the community at large can participate in our division’s goal to prevent and address homelessness in our city.
BACKGROUND
According to the SSHRB charter, the functions of the SSHRB include:
• To foster mutual understanding, respect, equality, and goodwill among community groups; and
• To facilitate the provisions of social services in the community by informing private agencies of needs and of areas of duplication of effort.
DISCUSSION
SSHRB President Scott Means and Board Member Michelle Buchholz will provide a presentation on the progress made to date on The Road Home: A 5 Year Plan to Prevent and Respond to Homelessness in Alameda.
