Social Service Human Relations Board Workgroup Planning with SMART Goals

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This meeting will serve as a planning session for the 2026-27 workplan. Board Members will reflect on their previous workplan as well as develop individual specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-Bound (SMART) goals to work towards the main goal defined in the purpose of SSHRB discussion. Additionally, data collected from a recent community survey will be presented in order to align SSHRB's goals and activities with the needs of the community.
BACKGROUND
The City of Alameda Municipal Code (AMC) states that one of the duties of SSHRB is to adopt a plan for the performance of its delineated functions "with advice and consent of the City Council" (AMC 2-9.4f). This meeting will serve as a planning session for the 2026-27 workplan. Board Members will reflect on their previous workplan as well as develop individual specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-Bound (SMART) goals to work towards the main goal defined in the purpose of SSHRB discussion. Additionally, data collected from a recent community survey will be presented in order to align SSHRB's goals and activities with the needs of the community. Board members will create a plan for achieving those goals including dates and events for the year.
