EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On June 6, 2023, City Council authorized an agreement with Verde Design, Inc. (Verde) to provide engineering services for Phase 2 of the Estuary Park Project (Agreement). On April 15, 2025, City Council authorized a first amendment to the Agreement to provide engineering services during bidding and construction, which was not included in the original scope.
Staff recommends City Council authorize the Interim City Manager to execute a second amendment to the Agreement to address additional engineering services that were inadvertently omitted from the first amendment, as well as to provide design revisions required to address an unforeseen underground utility conflict identified during construction.
The proposed second amendment authorizes an amount not to exceed $21,400. The total Agreement with the second amendment will be not-to-exceed $427,145.
BACKGROUND
Estuary Park was designed to be the primary neighborhood park for Admiral's Cove, Alameda Landing, and other nearby neighborhoods. It also serves residents at Alameda Point, including those living at the Alameda Point Collaborative and the future RESHAP affordable housing development.
