EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Building 24, a non-historic hangar at Alameda Point, located at 2301 Monarch Street, has a roof that has exceeded its life expectancy and requires replacement. In addition, Building 11 (part of the complex spanning Building 11, 12, 400 and 400A), located at 1190 West Tower Avenue, Building 2 Wings 8,9, and 10, located at 2550 Monarch Street, and Building 7, located at 851 West Midway, also require roof repair work, but not full replacements, to be performed in the near term. In April 2024, City staff solicited services from Kitchell CEM, Inc. (Kitchell), to provide project and construction management services for the Building 24 reroofing project, as well as support for developing the scope for the other building roof repair projects The roof replacement and roof repairs are a scheduled project included in the City of Alameda's (City) Capital Improvement Plan and funded through the Capital Facilities Internal Service Fund.

Staff is seeking City Council approval for an amendment to the Service Provider Agreement in an amount not-to-exceed $38,247, with a total agreement amount not-to-exceed $111,503, for additional project and construction management services, including coordination of roof repairs to Building 11, 2, and 7.
