PLN14-0084 - 1910 Grand Street - Applicant: Louis Whitmore The applicant requests a Use Permit for unenclosed storage of U-Haul rental vehicles and equipment on a vacant parcel at 1910 Grand Street.

PLN14-0041 - 1502 Park Street - Applicant: Rebecca Trissell The applicant requests a Use Permit to operate a Yoga and Martial Arts Studio at 1502 Park Street. The use primarily includes exercise classes, but the front fifty percent (50%) of the studio will be reserved for retail of athletic gear and equipment. The applicant also seeks a Use Permit to extend daily business operating hours to start at 5:00 A.M. where the standard operating hours is 7:00 A.M. -10:00 P.M.
 
PLN14-0054 - 920 Central Ave - Applicant: Kin Man Li - The applicant requests a Use Permit to legalize an existing residential use on the property. Pursuant to AMC Section 30-4.8(c)(1) residential uses in the C-1 District requires a Use Permit.
 
Design Review Pending Approvals
PLN14-0047 2609 Calhoun Street (Action Date 3-13-14)
The project consists of a 957 square-foot conversion of the basement to living space for two (2) bedrooms and two (2) bathrooms. The project also consists of installing two (2) windows on the southeast elevation (right side) and one (1) window on the northwest elevation (left side) on the ground floor. The project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301, Existing Facilities. The project is located within an R-4 (Neighborhood Residential) zoning district.
PLN14-0087 1309 Mound Street (Action Date 3-13-14)
The project primarily consists of window and door modifications to all elevations on the ground floor and the second-story as shown on the plans. These modifications include installing, resizing, or removing eleven (11) windows and three (3) doors. The project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. The project is located within an R-1 (One Family Residential) zoning district.
PLN14-0030 2626 Eagle Avenue (Action Date 3-17-14)
The project consists of the demolition and reconstruction of a pre-1942 475 sqaure foot detached garage at the rear of the subject residential property. The project is categorically excempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to section 15301 - Existing Facilities - permitting of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that which exists. The project is located with in R-2 (Two-Family Residential) zoning district.
 
 
Planning Board Options:
 
The Planning Board may accept this report or call one or more of the applications for review by the Planning Board at a future public hearing.
 
RECOMMENDATION:
 
Staff recommends that the Planning Board accept this report.
