PLN14-0722 - 51 West Hornet - Administrative Use Permit - Applicant: CSI Mini Storage. A public hearing to consider the renewal of an expired Interim Use Permit for continued operations of a self-storage facility. The property is located within AP-E1 (Alameda Point -  Enterprise 1) zoning district.  This project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption and no additional environmental review is necessary pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(a) - operation, permitting or leasing of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that which exists.
PLN14-0757 - 1600 Park Street - Administrative Use Permit - Applicant: Walgreen Co.  A public hearing to consider a use permit and determination of public necessity and convenience to allow the sales of beer, wine and spirits for off-premises consumption as an accessory use at an existing Walgreens drug store.  The property is located within the NP-G, North Park Street Gateway District.  This project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption and no additional environmental review is necessary pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(a) - operation, permitting or leasing of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that which exists.

PLN15-0007 - 1901 Webster Street - Design Review and Administrative Use Permit - Applicant: MBH Architects.  A rescheduled public hearing to consider the approval of exterior design and material modifications to an existing restaurant building (Burger King) for a new prospective tenant Peet's Coffee & Tea.  An Administrative Use Permit will also be considered to allow an outdoor seating patio and business operations beginning every day at 5:30 AM.  The property is located within C-C (Community Commercial) zoning district.  This project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption and no additional environmental review is necessary pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(a) - operation, permitting or leasing of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that which exists.
 
PLN14-0383 - 2700 Saratoga Street - Administrative Use Permit - Applicant: Antiques by the Bay Inc. A public hearing to consider the renewal of an existing Use Permit for the monthly Alameda Point Antique Faire event. The property is located within AP-OS (Open Space) zoning district.  This project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption and no additional environmental review is necessary pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(a) - operation, permitting or leasing of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that which exists.

PLN14-0682 3264 Adams Street (Action Date 2-10-15)  
 
The project consists of the demolition of an approximately 1,389 sq. ft. existing one-story single-family home built in 1948 which is not listed on the Historical Building Study List. The project also consists of replacing the existing home with a new approximately 3,823 sq. ft. three-story single-family home with an overall height of approximately 30 ft.  The project is located within an R-1 (One Family Residential) zoning district.
 
PLN14-0702 1173 Broadway (Action Date 2-10-15)  
 
The project consists of expanding the existing Unit A:  adding a second story - increasing the livable space by four hundred and sixty (460) square feet, and expanding from a two (2) car garage to a three (3) car garage; and the construction a new two-story unit at the rear of the property - totaling 2,972 square feet in livable space and a two (2) car garage.  Currently there are three (3) dwelling units on the parcel - one (1) duplex and one (1) detached single family home.  The project will result in four (4) dwelling units on an 11,000 square foot parcel - one (1) duplex, and two (2) detached single family homes. The property is located within an R-4 (Neighborhood Residential) zoning district.
 
PLN14-0736 1728 Eagle Avenue (Action Date 2-10-15)  
 
The project consists of an approximately 683 sq. ft. two-story rear addition to an existing two-story single-family home. The project also consists of five new windows and replacing fifteen windows on the residence.  The project is located within an R-3 (Garden Residential) zoning district. The residence is listed on the Historical Building Study List.
PLN14-0724 1311 Fernside Boulevard (Action Date 2-10-15)  
 
The project consists of an approximately 723 sq. ft. second-story addition to an approximately 1,384 sq. ft. existing single family home with a building height of approximately 24 feet. The project will also add 9 new windows and replace 2 windows on the side and rear elevations of the existing home. The project is located within an R-1 (One Family Residential) zoning district.
 
PLN15-0019 1414 Gibbons Drive (Action Date 2-10-15
The project consists of a 381 square foot second-story addition over an existing den at the rear portion of the dwelling, with new exterior windows and doors to match existing building. The addition will have a height of 23 feet, 11 inches, where 30 feet is allowed. The project is located within an R-1 (One Family Residential) zoning district.  Because the proposal includes additions and modifications to the existing single-family dwelling, which is located 4 feet, six inches from the west (left) property line, where a minimum five-foot setback is required, a finding must be made pursuant to AMC 30-5.7 (k) & (l), that no adverse effects such as shading, or view blockage would occur on an adjoining property.
 
PLN15-0009 429 Kitty Hawk Road (Action Date 2-10-15)   
 
The project consists of an approximate 651 sq. ft. second story addition to an existing single family home. The project will include a second story balcony on the rear (west) elevation of the residence. The project will also add windows and a door to the second-story addition. The project will also replace existing windows on the front elevation of the first-story.
 
PLN14-0699 3246 Liberty Avenue (Action Date 2-10-15)   
 
The project consists of an approximately 1,164 sq. ft. second story addition to an approximately 1,371 sq. ft. existing single-family residence. The project also consists of new windows on the second-story, and the replacement of a door and window on the rear elevation of the first-floor.  The project is located within an R-1 (One Family Residential) zoning district. The residence is listed on the Historical Building Study List.
 
PLN14-0743 1033 Lincoln Avenue (Action Date 2-10-15)  
 
The project consists of re-approving design review for the legalization of a second story deck previously constructed on the north (left) side and back of the home without city permits and restoration of landscaping to the front yard.  The project is located within an R-4 (Neighborhood Residential) zoning district.
 
 
 
PLN14-0700 1117 Morton Street (Action Date 2-10-15)     
 
The project consists of demolition of an existing garage at the rear of the parcel and construction of a new garage in the same general location on the property.  The new garage will be 492 square feet in area and 15 feet in height at the ridge of the roof.  The garage will have features matching the existing garage and include new decorative features matching the main dwelling on the property.  The project is located within an R-1, One-Family Residence zoning district.  The property is listed on the Historical Building Study List.
 
PLN15-0016 1821 Sherman Street (Action Date 2-10-15)  
The project consists of one new window and the replacement of two windows on the side (south) elevation of the first-story of an existing home.  The project is located within an R-1 (One Family Residential) zoning district. The residence is listed on the Historical Building Study List.
