UPDATE ON SSHRB PARTICIPATION IN, EARTH DAY, PARK STREET SPRING
FESTIVAL AND JAM AT NEPTUNE BEACH

At its February meeting, the Board voted to develop a Community Needs Survey, update the SSHRB brochure, and participate in May's Park Street Spring Festival and June's Jam at Neptune Beach. The purpose of participating in these events is to make SSHRB more visible in the community, and to solicit ideas from the community as to what it thinks Alameda's needs are. The committee, comprised of Member Williams, President Biggs, and Member Hyman, will provide an update on the survey and brochure, and lead a discussion regarding how all Board members might be involved in the community events.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Board hear the update and determine and approve next steps, including the production and / or purchase of materials necessary for participation in the community events.
