Vice-President / ATAH Chair Villareal is serving as co-chair of this year's 6th Annual Alameda Harvey Milk Day Celebration Committee
The co-sponsors for this year's Harvey Milk Day Celebration activities and events include AUSD, ACCYF, congregations from Alameda's faith community, the AUSD LGBTQ Roundtable, CARE, and other community organizations and leaders. This year's Celebration will take place at Alameda High School on Thursday, May 21st. The event will feature performances by the Oakland East Bay Gay Men's Chorus, and the AHS/EHS dancers. Victoria Forester will be the keynote speaker. SSHRB has co-sponsored and participated in Alameda's Harvey Milk Day Celebration since its inception at the College of Alameda in 2010.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the Board hear the request made by staff on behalf of Vice-President Villareal, and take actions as deemed appropriate to support these activities.
