Re: Presentation of Public Works Fiscal Year 2014-15 Annual Report
BACKGROUND
Public Works presented its first ever annual report in Fiscal Year (FY) 13-14. This year’s complete annual report, including voiceover, is located at <http://alamedaca.gov/public-works/public-works-annual-report>. An overview of the annual report will be presented to the City Council.
DISCUSSION
The annual report covers the inventory of public assets maintained by Public Works, and the past year’s results, challenges, and opportunities.
The report also shares Public Works’ vision to become the best, most efficient Public Works agency in the Bay Area. The Department is focused on three initiatives to achieve this vision: 1) 75% of staff gaining the best training and/or credentialing in their respective fields, 2) winning agency accreditation from the American Public Works Association, and 3) implementing a computerized maintenance management system.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact to any City Funds from presentation and acceptance of this report.

This presentation does not affect the municipal code.
