On May 18, 2016, the Friends of the River will be doing legislative outreach in Sacramento regarding two dams, which will impact the McCloud, Sacramento and San Joaquin Rivers.  The referral is requesting the City Council to sign the attached letter to the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation Interior Secretary urging rejection of the Shasta Dam Raise and the Temperance Flat Dam for the reasons mentioned in the letter.  The Council is being requested to take action at the May 17, 2016 meeting in order to sign the letter for the May 18th outreach.
