BACKGROUND
Over the last five years, staff-initiated amendments to the Zoning Ordinance sought to align development regulations with policy direction taken from the deliberation of development proposals by the City Council and Planning Board. These amendments also removed inconsistencies between established regulations and current community expectations for development in Alameda.
