The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) are underway on a regional planning effort to update the Bay Area Plan (“Plan Bay Area 2040”). Exhibit 1 describes the ongoing effort.
At this time, ABAG and MTC are asking for comments on their “preferred development scenario” from each of the cities and counties in the Bay Area. Comments are due to MTC and ABAG by October 14, 2016.
Staff has reviewed the development assumptions for Alameda included in Exhibit 1 and has prepared a draft response on behalf of the City of Alameda. (Exhibit 2).
RECOMMENDATION
Review and comment on staff draft response (Exhibit 2).
