Direct staff to provide an update on the negotiations between the City and Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS) as soon as possible. See the attached October 4, 2016 minutes for the recent Council direction on the matter. An update is requested since this issue is important to Alamedans and time is of the essence as FAAS is unable to continue operations long-term under the current lease.
