Since the last regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting, the following applications have been reviewed by staff, and public notices have been sent to solicit neighborhood input.  Decisions on these applications will be made on the dates noted below, which typically coincides with a Planning Board meeting date.  Staff will provide an update at the Planning Board meeting during Staff Communications if changes to the status of any project occur.  Decisions become final unless a member of the public files an appeal during the 10-day appeal period immediately following the decision date.  The Planning Board or City Council may also call for review a staff decision during this appeal period.  All appeals and call for reviews will be heard the Planning Board.

July 18, 2017

 

PLN16-0417 - 1 Clubhouse Memorial Drive - Administrative Use Permit and Design Review - Applicant: Dialemi Inc. dba Jim’s on the Course. Public hearing to consider a Use Permit and Design Review application to erect a new event center of approximately 4,200 square feet at Chuck Corica Golf Complex. This use permit is also intended to allow outdoor seating at the new event center and the existing restaurant and bar. The property is located within the O, Open Space zoning district. Per Alameda Municipal Code 30-4.19, any structure or building located within golf courses in the Open Space district require a use permit and are subject to design review. This project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15303 - New Construction or Conversion of Small Structure.

132 Avington Road - PLN17-0307 (Action Date 7-17-17)

 

The project consists of the construction of a second story addition to an existing one-story single family residence.  The total overall building height will increase from approximately seventeen feet (17’) tall to approximately twenty-two feet (22’) tall.  The addition will be approximately 1,128 square feet.  General Plan: Low-Density Residential Zoning: R-1-PD (One-Family Residence, Planned Development Combining District) Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. 741 Limerick Lane - PLN17-0314 (Action Date 7-17-17)  

 

The project consists of the construction of a two-story addition at the rear of an existing two-story single family residence.  The proposed addition will maintain the existing overall building height of twenty-five feet (25’) and will extend up to approximately eight feet (8’) from the rear of the structure.  General Plan: Low-Density Residential Zoning: R-1-PD (One-Family Residence, Planned Development Combining District) Zoning District.   Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. 1690 Orion Street - PLN17-0325 (Action Date 7-17-17)  

 

The project consists of an approximately 935 square-foot entry addition, an approximately 444 square-foot alcove addition, new parking spaces, and a new shade sail on an existing commercial building.  The project also consists of a new approximately 750 square-foot workshop building located on the south side of the property. General Plan: Mixed-Use. Zoning: Alameda Point -Enterprise 1 District.
