At the request of the City Council, the Board is developing Homeless Policies and Program recommendations to be considered by the Council for adoption. Sherice Youngblood, chair of the Homeless Action Plan Workgroup has invited Alameda County Everyone Home staff to make a presentation on the new Coordinated Entry System (CES), which is now in place to provide services to all unsheltered homeless in Alameda County. This presentation will give the Board a better understanding as to how to make its recommendations for the city of Alameda more effective in light of the County’s new Homeless Services paradigm.
