Re: Adoption of Resolution Setting the 2018 Regular City Council Meeting Dates
BACKGROUND
Section 3-7 (B) of the Charter requires that the City Council adopt a resolution setting the dates of its regular meetings in December of the preceding year.
DISCUSSION
With the exceptions of July and November, City Council meetings will be held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. with no meetings in August. The meetings in July will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month due to the 4th of July holiday. Since the General Municipal Election will be November 6, 2018, the first regular meeting in November will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. The second meeting in November will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact from setting regular Council meeting dates.

RECOMMENDATION
