Since the last regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting, the following applications have been reviewed by staff, and public notices have been sent to solicit neighborhood input.  Decisions on these applications will be made on the dates noted below, which typically coincides with a Planning Board meeting date.  Staff will provide an update at the Planning Board meeting during Staff Communications if changes to the status of any project occur.  Decisions become final unless a member of the public files an appeal during the 10-day appeal period immediately following the decision date.  The Planning Board or City Council may also call for review a staff decision during this appeal period.  All appeals and call for reviews will be heard the Planning Board.

PLN17-0237 -2700 Saratoga Street - Administrative Use Permit - Applicant: Antiques by the Bay Inc. A public hearing to consider the renewal of an existing Use Permit for the monthly Alameda Point Antique Faire event. The property is located within AP-OS (Open Space) zoning district.  This project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption and no additional environmental review is necessary pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15301(a) - operation, permitting or leasing of existing private structures involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that which exists.

757 Lincoln Avenue - PLN17-0543 (Action Date 12-04-17)

 

The project consists of the construction of a new 69 sq. ft. second floor deck and associated stairs at the rear of an existing two-story four-unit building.  The proposed second floor deck will be made of wood, with a 42 inch tall wood guardrail and will have a finished floor height of 8’6” above grade.  General Plan: Medium-Density Residential Zoning: R-5 (General Residential) Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. The project consists of a Certificate of Approval to authorize the demolition of an existing accessory building that was built prior to 1942. 1103 Oak Street - PLN17-0438 (Action Date 12-04-17)

 

The project consists of the construction 5 individual dormers on the roof of an existing 5-unit building.  The proposed dormers will facilitate converting existing attic space into new floor area for one of the building’s existing unit - expanding the size of the unit from approximately 900 square feet to approximately 1,490 square feet, an increase of 590 square feet.  There will be 2 individual dormers on the South Elevation, facing San Antonio Ave, and 3 individual dormers on the North Elevation.  General Plan: Medium-Density Residential Zoning: R-5 (General Residential) Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities.
