Re: Approve South Course Alameda Resident Golf Rates.
BACKGROUND
On January 9, 2018, the Golf Commission reviewed and discussed a proposal from Greenway Golf on a range of resident rates for the South Course. The range was $35 to $43 for weekday peak times with twilight rates offered. And weekend rates range proposed was $45 to $53. The Commission expressed overall agreement with the proposed range with some Commissioners asking that the final fee be in the mid to low end of the proposed range. Greenway Golf agreed to bring the final proposed resident rates to the Golf Commission at its next meeting.
DISCUSSION
Greenway Golf is proposing Alameda resident walking golf fess of $40 per player, Monday through Friday and $50 per player on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays. Exhibit 1 includes further information and comparison of these fees with other comparable golf courses.
Greenway Golf has also confirmed that the youth and senior rates will not change.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve South Course Alameda Resident Golf Rates.
