Consider adopting a Sanctuary City Contracting and Investment Ordinance (Attachment 1). The City of Alameda recently had an issue with a vendor providing information to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) without the City’s knowledge. Having a policy in place would prevent future instances with vendors. Other cities have adopted policies.
