BACKGROUND
The City Council adopted the biennial Budget for the FY 2017-18 and 2018-19 on June 6, 2017. After the first year of the budget cycle, staff has traditionally brought to the City Council for approval an update to the second budget year (mid-cycle update). As part of the Mid-Cycle Update, the City Council held a Budget Workshop on May 18, 2018 during which departmental requests previously not included in the Original Budget were discussed and direction was given by the City Council for inclusion in the FY 2018-19 Mid-Cycle Update.
