Since the last regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting, the following applications have been reviewed by staff, and public notices have been sent to solicit neighborhood input.  Decisions on these applications will be made on the dates noted below.  Staff will provide an update at the Planning Board meeting during Staff Communications if changes to the status of any project occur. 

 

Decisions become final unless a member of the public files an appeal during the 10-day appeal period immediately following the decision date, or the Planning Board or City Council call for review a Zoning Administrator or Community Development Department decision during this appeal period.  All appeals and call for reviews will be heard at a public hearing before the Planning Board.

1.                      Click or go to: <https://alameda.buildingeye.com/planning>

2.                      Enter project address in search box.

3.                      Click on the Map Marker (i.e. dot on the map) to display the project summary sidebar. 

4.                      To view the project file, click on the “More details” button.  A new window will appear.

5.                      In the new window that opens, click on “Record Info” tab and then click “Project Documents” in the drop down menu.  A list of project documents will display.

Planning, Building and Transportation Department Decisions for March 21, 2019

 

2808 Bayview Drive, PLN19-0102 (Action Date 4-15-19)

 

DESIGN REVIEW - The project consists of a second floor addition on an existing two-story attached single family home.  The existing master bedroom will be expanded eight feet towards the rear property line onto an existing second floor deck, which will increase the size of the bedroom by 176 square feet.  The proposed addition will use the same building materials and roof pitch of the existing structure. Plan: Low-Density Residential Zoning: R-1 (One-Family Residence) Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. 1712 Pacific Avenue, PLN18-0505 (Action Date 4-15-19)

 

DESIGN REVIEW - The project consists of a 746 square foot one-story addition at the rear of an existing one-story single family residence, bringing the total size of the residence to approximately 1,585 square feet on a 4,320 square foot lot.  The proposed addition will have the matching stucco siding, window types and materials, and window trim.  Plan: Low-Density Residential Zoning: R-1 (One-Family Residence) Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. 1721 Pearl Street, PLN19-0106 (Action Date 4-15-19)

 

DESIGN REVIEW - The project consists of a 320 square foot one-story addition at the rear of an existing one-story single family residence, a new 240 square foot deck (with a finished floor height of three feet and six inches above grade) at the rear of the house, and the expansion of the front porch to accommodate a wheelchair lift that will be screened from the public right of way.  The proposed addition will use the same building materials and roof pitch of the existing structure. Plan: Low-Density Residential Zoning: R-1 (One-Family Residence) Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities.
