Since the last regularly scheduled Planning Board meeting, the following applications have been reviewed by staff, and public notices have been sent to solicit neighborhood input.  Decisions on these applications will be made on the dates noted below.  Staff will provide an update at the Planning Board meeting during Staff Communications if changes to the status of any project occur. 

 

Decisions become final unless a member of the public files an appeal during the 10-day appeal period immediately following the decision date, or the Planning Board or City Council call for review a Zoning Administrator or Community Development Department decision during this appeal period.  All appeals and call for reviews will be heard at a public hearing before the Planning Board.

2.                      Enter project address in search box.

3.                      Click on the Map Marker (i.e. dot on the map) to display the project summary sidebar. 

4.                      To view the project file, click on the “More details” button.  A new window will appear.

5.                      In the new window that opens, click on “Record Info” tab and then click “Project Documents” in the drop down menu.  A list of project documents will display.

Planning, Building and Transportation Department Decisions for June 20, 2019

 

2470 Mariner Square Loop, PLN19-0240 (Action Date 7-01-19)

 

DESIGN REVIEW - The project consists of the construction of an approximately 170-square-foot trash enclosure located behind an existing office building.  The project also consists of relocating two existing parking spaces on the site in order to accommodate the new trash enclosure. The total vehicle parking spaces on the property will remain the same.  General Plan: Business Park. Zoning: M-2-PD General Industrial - Planned Development Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. 940 Versailles Avenue, PLN19-0274 (Action Date 7-01-19)

 

DESIGN REVIEW - The project consists of replacing the roof on an approximately 198-square-foot one-car garage. The existing flat roof on the garage will be replaced with a low-pitched hipped roof to improve drainage with no changes made to the front façade.  The property is listed on the Historical Building Study List with an “S” designation.  General Plan: Low Density Residential. Zoning: R-1 One-Family Residence Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. Project Planner:  Henry Dong, 510-747-6871, hdong@alamedaca.gov.

 

3214 Washington Street, PLN19-0176 (Action Date 7-01-19)

 

DESIGN REVIEW - The project consists of alterations to the front façade of a one-story house including modifications to the front porch and removal of an existing front-facing garage door.  A new gabled roof will be built over the existing front porch, with matching porch columns and stone-veneer at the base of the house.  The existing front-facing garage door will be replaced with casement windows to allow conversion of the garage into living space.  Two parking spaces will be relocated to the side of the house.  Existing windows and chimney will be replaced in-kind on the rest of the house. General Plan: Low Density Residential. Zoning: R-1 One-Family Residence Zoning District.  Environmental Determination: Exempt, Section 15301 - Existing Facilities. RECOMMENDATION:

 

Staff recommends that the Planning Board accept this report.
