EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In December, the City Council is required to adopt a resolution setting the meeting dates for the following year. In 2021, City Council meetings will be held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m., except there will be no meetings in August and the meeting days for September will be changed from the first and third Tuesdays to the first and third Wednesdays due to religious holidays.
BACKGROUND
Section 3-7 (B) of the City Charter requires that the City Council adopt a resolution setting the dates of its regular meetings in December for the following year. On December 1, 2020, the City Council adopted the 2021 regular meeting dates.
DISCUSSION
There are religious holidays the first and third Tuesdays in September. Therefore, the meetings in September are being moved to the first and third Wednesday, i.e., September 1 and September 15.
ALTERNATIVES
* Amend the 2021 regular City Council meeting dates as described.
* City Council could elect to change the meetings to another date.
* Do not amend the meeting dates.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact from setting regular City Council meeting dates.

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) applies only to projects that have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. This action is not a project pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines section 15378.
