Continued Discussion of Social Service Human Relations Board’s Homelessness Activities

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
At the April 28, 2022 meeting, the Social Service Human Relations Board (SSHRB) decided to create a regular agenda item to track the Homelessness Strategic Plan and to work on homelessness related issues. This item is to further discuss these issues.
BACKGROUND
In October 2021, the Alameda City Council approved the Road Home: A Five-Year Plan to Prevent and Respond to Homelessness in Alameda (Homelessness Strategic Plan). At the April 28, 2022 meeting, SSHRB decided to create a regular agenda item to track the Homelessness Strategic Plan and to work on homelessness related issues.
Strategy 3.1 of the Homelessness Strategic Plan is to engage the community on the regional crisis of homelessness, including the Action Step 3.1a to design an ongoing education and participation campaign for Alameda residents, employees, and businesses.
Discussion
