EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Consider moving the October City Council meetings from the first and third Wednesday, October 5 and 19, 2022, to the first and third Tuesday, October 4 and 18, 2022.
BACKGROUND
Section 3-7 (B) of the City Charter requires that the City Council adopt a resolution setting the dates of its regular meetings in December for the following year. On December 21, 2021, the City Council adopted the 2022 regular meeting dates. On June 21, 2022, the City Council amended the date of the second meeting in July.
DISCUSSION
The Mayor would like City Council to consider amending the October meeting dates from the first and third Wednesday, October 5 and 19, 2022, to the first and third Tuesday, October 4 and 18, 2022. A resolution is being presented to allow City Council to consider changing the dates.
ALTERNATIVES
• Amend the regular October City Council meetings dates to October 4 and 18, 2022.
• City Council could elect to change one or both October meetings to other dates.
• Do not amend the October meeting dates.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Setting regular City Council meeting dates does not have any financial impacts.

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) applies only to projects that have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment. This action is not a project pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines section 15378.
CLIMATE IMPACTS
There are no identifiable climate impacts or climate action opportunities associated with the subject of this report.
RECOMMENDATION
Adopt a resolution amending the 2022 regular City Council meeting dates.
