Approve 2023 Meeting Calendar (action)
The regular Transportation Commission schedule is the fourth Wednesday every other month on the odd numbered months at 6:30 pm. Commissioners are also requested to consider holding the fourth Wednesday of even months in case needed for special meetings.
In 2022, the Commission schedule included a meeting in August rather than July because most Alameda schools are back in session by mid-August, so people are more likely to take a vacation in late July than late August.
Staff recommend an additional meeting in February 2023 to hold a workshop to recommend a design concept for the Lincoln/Marshall/Pacific Avenue Corridor Improvement Project. The project merits a focused meeting because it’s an important and complex three-mile corridor. The fourth week of February is the week of Presidents Day, an Alameda Unified School District vacation week, so staff recommend February 15 rather than February 22.
