EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This is an informational report to City Council to publically announce the Open Government Commission (OGC) appointments made by Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft and Councilmember Jensen.
BACKGROUND
Pursuant to Alameda Municipal Code (AMC) Section 2-22.2(b), each City Councilmember is to appoint one member to the OGC for a term that runs concurrent with the City Councilmember’s term. Appointments to the OGC do not require confirmation by the City Council. Accordingly, this report is submitted for informational purposes only.
DISCUSSION
Mayor Ezzy Ashcraft is appointing Klinton Miyao and Councilmember Jensen is appointing Chris Miley.
ALTERNATIVES
This report is submitted for informational purposes only. There is no action for City Council to take, so alternatives do not exist.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Funds have not been allocated for this activity. The City Attorney and City Clerk offices provide OGC support using existing personnel accounted for in the City’s General Fund Budget (Fund 100).

ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This action does not constitute a “project” as defined in California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15378 and therefore no further CEQA analysis is required.

There are no identifiable climate impacts or climate action opportunities associated with the subject of this report.
RECOMMENDATION
Accept report on the appointment of Open Government Commission Members.
