EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Alameda (City) issued plans and specifications for the Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway (RAMP) Intersection Modifications Project, No. P.W. 03-23-06, on May 18, 2023. The project includes modification of five traffic signals between Main Street and Wilma Chan Way on RAMP and Atlantic Avenue. The improvements will improve safety by reducing conflicts between vehicles and users of the Cross Alameda Trail. Staff requests City Council award the contract to W. Bradley Electric, LLC, the lowest responsive bidder, in an amount not-to-exceed $905,987. In addition, staff requests City Council approve the proposed budget resolution to transfer funds between capital improvement projects.

BACKGROUND

The intersection and traffic signal modifications are to be performed at RAMP and Main Street, Third Street, Poggi Street, Webster Street, and Wilma Chan Way.
