A special meeting is being called to allow the Planning Board to  
attend the Oakland Roots & Soul Sports Club Facility Improvements  
Open House. PLEASE NOTE: The meeting is being noticed because  
the City’s Sunshine Ordinance requires notice whenever a majority of  
the Planning Board may attend a meeting or function organized to  
discuss matters of public concern. The Planning Board will not be  
taking any action and the City Clerk will not be taking any minutes.  
Members of the public can attend and offer comment.

• Appeals of Planning Board decisions are considered by the City Council and must be filed in  
the Planning, Building and Transportation Department in writing stating the basis of appeal  
with the appeal fee within 10 days of the date of action  
• Accessible seating for persons with disabilities, including those using wheelchairs, is  
available  
• Equipment for the hearing impaired is available for public use  
• Translators will be available upon request by contacting the Planning, Building and
