SPECIAL SUB-COMMITTEE MEETING: The special meeting of the Alameda City/School joint sub-committee was held on the date and place mentioned above.

1. CALL TO ORDER / GENERAL INTRODUCTION: The meeting was called to order by Mayor Trish Spencer at 9:15 a.m. City Council Members, Board Members and their respective staff introduced themselves. The Following people were in attendance:

Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft - Councilmember, City of Alameda
Jill Keimach - City Manager, City of Alameda
Liz Warmerdam - Assistant City Manager, City of Alameda
Debbie Potter - Community Development Director, City of Alameda
Andrew Thomas - Assistant Community Development Director, City of Alameda
Sean McPhetridge - Superintendent, Alameda USD
Shariq Khan -CBO, Alameda USD
Gray Harris - Board Member, Alameda USD Board of Education
Solana Henneberry - Board Member, Alameda USD Board of Education

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: minutes from the June 27, 2016 City/School Subcommittee Meeting:

A. The City Council and Board members approved the minutes from the June 27, 2016 City/School Subcommittee Meeting.
3. ORAL COMMUNICATION NON-AGENDA (PUBLIC COMMENT)
None.
4. CITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT ISSUES:
A. Rezoning of Food Facility Warehouse
Shariq Khan and Sean McPhetridge gave a brief presentation. The District did a comprehensive analysis of it holdings and applied for a rezoning of the food facility warehouse and Thompson Field to provide flexibility for a comprehensive maintenance yards, proper space for a food facility, a regulation football field and District offices. The District's intent is to provide flexibility for options to use real estate assets to its advantage. ...
