Warmerdam at an Amount of $123.75 Hourly for the Period of July 16 Through August 5, 2018

BACKGROUND

Former City Manager Jill Keimach's employment ended May 15, 2018. From that date until June 30, 2018, Assistant City Manager Elizabeth D. Warmerdam was contractually appointed Acting City Manager. Due to Ms. Warmerdam's vacation plans, various department heads have temporarily served in the role of Acting City Manager since June 30, 2018. Ms. Warmerdam returned to serving as Acting City Manager on July 16, but without benefit of a contract.

During the first two weeks in July the City Council interviewed a number of candidates for the position of Interim City Manager. At the conclusion of those interviews Council expressed a desire to retain the services of David Rudat. Mr. Rudat has nearly 40 years of increasing responsible leadership and management experience in local and county government, including City Manager, Deputy County Executive Officer, Fire Chief, and Public Works Director. He served as the City Manager of the City of Orange for ten years and has served as Interim City Manager, and as an Interim Department Head in a variety of agencies.
