Recommendation to Review the Public Art Commission Meeting Calendar for Possible Conflicts that Inhibit Maximum Public Participation

Body

To: Honorable Chairperson Gillitt and Members of the Public Art Commission

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City Council directed the Social Service Human Relations Board (SSHRB) to consider recommendations for rescheduling future City Council, Board/Commission meetings that may fall on dates that preclude maximum public participation. In certain instances, a scheduled PAC meeting may coincide with a public holiday or otherwise not be conducive to public participation. Due to potential scheduling conflicts that may arise stemming from holidays or other conflicts, this staff report staff recommends that Commissioners discuss PAC's regular calendar, and conflicts, set new meeting dates and adopt an agreed PAC calendar for the next year.
